ordered model A rad. mount tabs were of such light gauge that I had to get someone to make heaver tabs. Mount for rods to f'wall fell off after a few months. they do not warranty. Sucker for punishment I ordered a 32 rad. Came damaged to rod shop. They argued against return..finally after threatening suit they took it back. OH I waited over 6 weeks for it!!!NO MORE Afco for me!

I bought a street rod radiator from afco on e-bay and got it for half the catalog cost. It seems to work just fine and it came within the week after I payed. It looks like I am one of a few that are satisfied.

i ordered an aluminum radiator for a '32 ford, set up for a flat-head. i told the salesman that i didn't want the tab that accepts the rods from the radiator to the cowl welded to the radiator as i wasn't sure if i was going to use a 3-piece hood; just to include it in the order. i also ordered a fan-shroud combo. the salesman called me back the next day and said the bottom outlets couldn't be spaced as far apart as i had asked; would it be ok to "point them out" a little? i said that would be fine. when the radiator arrived the bottom outlets were not only pointed out but UP which only increased the problem. the fan and shroud weren't in the box. also the mounting tabs to secure the shell to the radiator were INCHES off. i called the salesman and told him about the missing parts and without directly being told i was a liar he proceeded to say it was about impossible the stuff wasn't in the box, that the shroud was attached to the radiator. i told him not only wasn't it attached, there weren't any holes to indicate it had ever been. i did mention to him that i did have a packing slip ensuring me that my order had been carefully packed. when i mentioned the mounting tabs weren't even close he "song and danced" me about the jillions of radiators they make, and i was all wrong that it must be the shell was bogus. when i explained to him that his radiator was at that moment lying right next to a genie deuce radiator and wasn't even close, INCLUDING the brackets that mount the radiator to the frame it became time to talk to his boss. i aired my grievances and also said that in my opinion charging me an additional $15.95 (on top of over $650.00) for a flimsy radiator-to-cowl tab that wasn't even welded to the radiator was just a tad greedy. his boss took some measurements from me and had the radiator picked up. it took longer for afco to repair their mistakes than it did to build the thing to begin with. i still couldn't use any of the tabs even after their repair and wound up making my own. in a nutshell, my integrity was questioned, i didn't get what i ordered, there was no follow by the boss to see if things had been taken care of, and i was overcharged. afco winds up being the loser because i had many more parts to buy (thank you qa1 and goodman) among others and i will not be bashful in relating my experiences with this company. i'm also going to return the tab to them at l-ville. i wound up using a 3-piece hood and they apparantly need it far more than i do.

Ordered an aluminum radiator from AFCO. Expected to see it in a week, but it showed up the day after I ordered it. Beautiful radiator too, looks like an aircraft part.

Was most familiar with racing products from this company, but used one of their transmission coolers for my 40 Buick coupe, the style that is a long aluminum tube with fins on it. It is mounted under the car, close to the transmission lines, out of the way, and catches enough air that it must do the job, I have had no problems so far with this set up. The quality of the product was outstanding, service was fine, price was reasonable, what else could you ask for? I give them a thumbs up for their product.

To be honest i have used this company for years, but it was mostly oval track parts.(stuff that my ass was on the line as a driver/owner) Years back when i went full time rods i hade allready been adapting and using there products.Lots of great chassis stuff for the home builder.Sometimes you will need to know what you want, but no failure here and i used to destroy there stuff pretty good in the racing deal and was allways comfortable that there product were much stonger than they needed to be.
