Difficult but worth it

I ordered the Hood Kit for my hot rod enthusiast friend. He said though installation was somewhat difficult, it was well worth it. He gets compliments not only from people in the know, but from non-enthusiasts as well. A true work of art from a skilled craftsman. Spread the word !!

I bought the hood kit and found it a lot of work, but it still works the best. I put another company's kit on my car and then had to throw it away. Sometimes doing it the hard way is still the best way. Well worth the effort!

I also bought a 3 piece hinge & latch set. It had to be modifiyed to work. Used about 4 mo. then made my owm. Parts should have had China stamped on them

Poor and very dissapointed

I ordered a three-piece hood hinge and latch kit. The unit I ordered opens only from one side. The DF salesman told me that the kit could be made to open either from the driver or passenger side of the car. I purchased the kit only to discover that the hood would only open from the drivers side. I was now told that you have to identify which side you wish to open the hood from as DF has to supply the correct parts to accomplish that. When I went back to DF to exchange the parts so that I could make my hood open from the passenger side, they would not exchange. I ended up having to spend another $50.00 to purchase the parts I need to make the hood operate as I required.
