5.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.0   A.C. Rods update
Reviewer: bentwings from Minnesota     February 07, 2012
Well I just though I'd toss in an update. My 41 Willys is more or less complete...changes all the time. I now have 18k miles on a blown sbc in this car and have no probems with the body or frame. These cars are not really "kit cars" you have to gather everthing and supply the "kit" so to speak. It's important to create a build sheet and keep it up to date. Schedule each step and document it. This way you will create a owners manual and repair guide. It is especially important to do this with the wiring as any fiberglass car will have a huge amount of wiring due to the need for grounds.

AC remembered me from 10 years ago like it was the day I bought the car. They are great people to work with.

I bought a '34 Ford 3 window body from A&C on the advice of a friend and from the reviews I've seen here. I'm very happy with the quality and the price. This body is straight and smooth and won't require much work to get it paint ready. Nice people too.

2.0/5.02.0/5.02.0/5.02.0/5.02.0/5.0   Good company - good product - good overall fit!

I bought a partially completed 41 Willys (body done, painted, but NO INTERIOR AT ALL) from an ex-gasser guy up in New York and BOY- am I glad I did. The overall quality and craftmanship are good, parts fit well and the overall package is one of the best I've seen. However, they do not carry all parts to finish the car (like complete weatherstrip kits - trunk seals, etc). Other than that - I'd buy another kit in a heartbeat!

4.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.0   A Quality Product
Reviewer: Anonymous from Ontario, Canada     January 02, 2004
I purchased a '32 Ford Roadster body form A.C. in 2002 and found
the quality to be first rate. Very little work was needed to get the body ready for paint. We did add to the steel inner structure in the cowl area to stiffen the body & this was easily done. The body is true to original dimensions as it fit my frame well. The doors & trunk fit very well. These guys are 'glass experts!!

5.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.0   outstanding customer service
Reviewer: roger from canada     October 28, 2003
i also purchased a pro street frame and body from ac rods 2 years ago, and found that all the components fit like a glove, the quality and craftmanship were outstanding, also being across the border you would think once you buy the product your on your own but that's not the case, they spend the time with you and walk you through every concern you have, there's not to many shops that will walk you through there shop and explain all the process's that make a quality body, they will also meet with you after hours to show you around, this is the lost art of quality service that we should all practice, there was never a doubt in my mind that these guys are out to give you 100% all the time.....truly a great bunch of guys......keep it up.....

5.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.0   provided a car as good as their sales said..and on tim

I bought a 41 Willys body and bare pro street frame from them around the first of 2003. The car was delivered to the day they promised. Missing was some insulation and window channel. They had it to me by the following weekend. The body is flawless. There are NO seams that need to be finished or even visible!! The gel coat is almost as good as paint with only a few primer spots. A new standard to be measured against!!!. All of my dealings with them have been very productive and pleasant. While there are some dificulties with the body they are not serious and are comon to all Willys "plastic" bodies. The body fit the frame perfectly, the fenders and front end parts fit with only minor trimming, the motor dropped right on the mounts, the steering gear bolted right in, the entire Mustang from suspension that was purchased from several suppliers bolted right on. I was able to set the ride height exactly as I wanted with out help or problems. The frame is 100% TIG welded has the best looking TIG welding I've seen on rod parts. I comtinued the TIG welding with all of my additions. The frame was dead square and straight.1
