I bought a set of Flowtech headers for my Iroc. The header flange was warped so badly that we had to cut between each tube to get them to fit the heads. Then the stupid Y-pipe hit the frame when the car was running and we had to modify that. The headers were of very poor quality and I'll never buy another set from these folks.

4.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.04.0/5.0   Headers that fit
Reviewer: nova1964@earthlink.net from Orlando, Florida     August 19, 2003
There is a problem with the purchase of headers for early Novas. Especially the 1962 - 1967 models. I had tried different manufactures headers and each had to be modified to fit a 1964 Nova with a small block.

Flowtech is the only header that fit perfectly. I made the mistake of double gasketing the headers to the engine. This is something I do on most of my cars as the gaskets do not blow out as easily. It did create a knocking on the passenger side at the exhaust flange. I have since gone to a single copper gasket on the headers and have eliminiated the problem completely.

I am running a 327, 375 HP engine that needs to breath. With these headers, I have had a gain in HP over the previous headers as I have not had to modify the headers (ding them) at the stearing box.

It states in the literature that these headers are for Automatics with the shifter on the floor and no power stearing. This is the setup I am running. I had no trouble with the installation and the drivers side even went in from the top. You will have to loosen the motor mounts and jack the engine up about 1/2" on both sides to ease the installation.

I would recommend Flowtech headers to anyone installing on a 1962 - 1967 Nova. I have had an increase of 10 HP and 25 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheels over other headers that were supposed to fit.
