I purchased an Earl's fuel filter for my car, when i fired it up the filter leaked at the removable housing end. I was not able to stop the leak by tightning it so I removed the filter and took it apart. I found the filter had about a teaspoon full of aluminum shavings in it from when it was machined....of course what aluminum was in the outlet side was now in my new Demon carb....thanks earl's...great quality control you have! Glad I bought a Demon instaed of a Holly!

Poor tech help

I purchased a Holley 770cfm Street Avenger. I installed it according to the installation instructions. Holley said to connect the vacuum advance hose to the 'Ported' connection on the carb. From a dead stop it bogged very bad. I rechecked everything. Same results. I checked their on-line tech section. I called their tech. After being on hold for over twenty minutes, their tech guy told me the vacuum line connection was correct and I should check my vacuum. I thanked him and checked the vacuum at idle in gear. Vacuum was OK. I switched the vacuum line to 'Full' vacuum connection. Problem solved!!! Great carb but poor tech help!
