Description: This is a Beautiful unmolested 1970 Pontiac LeMans Sport Hardtop.

This Pontiac Historical Service documented Lemans Sport is Pepper Green with Sandalwood Vinyl roof over Sandalwood Buckets with console. Smooth running correct code Pontiac 350 pulls strong and drives great. This car had title from 1976 to the same owner. The GA DMV told me that the owner was a joint owner on original title & was titled to the same address. So this was a 1 family car until I purchased it. She would not give me any info in writing due to privacy issues. This was an original Southern Georgia car all its life. It could be called a Barn find but I call it a Carport find.

There are not many of these cars that were not modified or cloned.

The only modifications to this car prior to my purchase were: Dual Exhaust, Manual choke, Tachometer in place of clock, and auxiliary gauge package mounted in Cigar Lighter hole ( looks like late 70's or early 80's). ( both original clock & lighter included if wanted). After market AM/FM 8 track with speakers cut into front Kick Panels.

Since I purchased it I have added Petronix electronic ignition, new carpets and have done a complete service and tune up.

This nicely optioned Pontiac is in very nice driver condition. The odometer shows 52xxx and I have no idea if that is original, but it could pass as the car was apparently well maintained. The paint is a shiny repaint of the original color done sometime in the past. It was a trim off repaint and from as far as I can tell it is all original sheet metal, the Vin stampings are everywhere. The floors, sills, cowl and trunk are original metal and in very nice condition. I found a 1970 penny stuck under the ratty original carpeting & I left it there. The underbody shows well maintained driver condition. The frame is solid and shows no sign of damage or repair. The exhaust pipes are rust coated but solid with no leaks. The wheel wells have their original fender liners and trim. Any surface rust on or in body had been touched up as it occurred. The only spots of rust that I can see on body are some small pinpoints on right rear quarter at bottom of rear wheel arch. There appears to be a prior repair at one time but no damage on other side of panel or any welding evident(see photo collage).. The weather striping is aged but serviceable. The trim is in good condition. The bumpers are original and in decent shape. The rear bumper has a scratch but you have to be looking for it(see collage).

The body shows very nice and although not a concours show ready trailer queen, but it shows very well and turns heads with the mellow tone and the great eye appeal. This car has a presence, with its color combination, that just " pops." It is a very original looking automobile that still has it original T3 high beams!
The trunk is in nice condition with its original bias ply spare tire with original Rally II wheel and jack. The 4 Rally II wheels have original as found patina and I have not yet refinished them, I haven't decided if I should leave them alone or not. Tires are 215 60 14 on original Rally II wheels with trim rings. The center caps are worn and lend an original patina. One cap is from a Buick. A replacement is on order.

Under hood is in original condition. The compressor, starter, Battery and alternator have been replaced with reman units at some time. The ignition, cap rotor and wires are stock appearing new replacements and I installed a new Pertronix LS electronic ignition module. It runs great. The valve covers have peeling paint as does the intake manifold. The original 2 barrel has a manual choke added. It is rarely needed in Georgia, and the car runs strong as is.

The interior is in very nice shape. The dash has a small crack on the drivers side , but it is hidden when the door is closed(see picture) The gauges all work. The buckets and rear seat are in very nice shape, as are the door panels, headliner and visors . The console is also in nice condition. The armrest hinge is missing and the door had been repaired in the past . I am actively searching for a replacement. The kick panels have 6 inch speakers installed in them. The armrests on the door panels are showing some wear to the pads. The 8 track works. The foot pedals are in nice shape and the carpet is brand new. The color combo is outstanding and the interior shows light patina for its age. The factory A/C blows cool. The Blower motor fan has just started to make a racket and I have one on order. The wood trim is in nice condition.
The LeMans Sport has the full GTO interior treatment with buckets seats and smooth 3 speed Automatic with dual pattern floor shifter. It has the same GTO deluxe door panels and seats but with LeMans logo.

Turbo Hydro transmission

Rally II wheels x 5

This car runs out straight and true and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It rides great and handles and stops in an amazingly modern style. Compared to other cars of this era, this cars drives easy and quite with quite a bit of torque to move it with authority

Interested in any trade that is SMALLER than this car , Its about 8 inches too long for my space and Its really too nice to be outside.
