Description: I have done all the hard work; this car is ready for you to put on the finishing touches! It is a piece of Northwest hot rod history, a 1935 Ford, 2 door humpback sedan that has been under construction for literally over 20 years. I purchased the car about 4 years ago from a retired gentleman whose health was failing and he knew he wouldn't ever complete the car. The story he told me was that he purchased it from anther Tacoma fellow who started work on it back in the early 80's. The car came out of Nevada and comes with a Nevada title. As the story goes, the expert filling of the roof was performed by the legendary race car constructor Al Swindall, and the custom firewall was put in by local body and paint man Dick Page. The body is so nicely done, it convinced me to buy the car and get it ready for you to paint and upholster it to suit your taste and style. It is all original steel except for the Wescott fiberglass fenders, and new steel running boards. The original grille has been re-chromed and is in beautiful condition! I filled the cowl, the original wiper hole above the windshield and the spare tire mount holes. I also replaced the original trunk latches with a new handle for a 37 Ford. A much cleaner look than the original latches, but still has a stock appearance. The doors, hood and trunk all fit very well.

I disassembled the car down to the bare frame after I purchased it and checked it for straightness and twist before going any further. It was dead level and square to within 1/16" overall. Not bad for 75 year old car. I installed an updated master cylinder and dual chamber booster assembly. I then modified the Chassis Engineering rear suspension to make the car sit just right. I worked over the new 4"drop tube axle front suspension to decrease the turning radius, and added custom pan hard bars to both ends for excellent tracking going down the road. I then added additional torsional frame stiffening which makes all the difference for a car with no squeaks or rattles when you are done. The engine, as the story goes, is a 327 Chevrolet that was rebuilt, as was the Turbo 350 transmission. The rear axle is an 8" Ford with approx 2.9 to 1 gear ratio, non-positraction. Plus much more!

Virtually every part on the chassis is brand new and ready to go. It has GM calipers and rotors on the front with wheel adaptors to Ford bolt pattern. Vega steering gear that is very tight, and new Borgeson steering linkage from the column to the steering gear. I custom modified the steering column to allow much more clearance for the brake and throttle pedals than is standard in this style of hot rod. It is a 1973 GM tilt column with column shift and ignition.

To complete the car you will need to purchase and install the heating and or heat/AC system you prefer, a wiring kit, and windshield wiper system of your choice. The only sheet metal body work to complete is where the notches for the rear bumper mounts were filled in. It is solid, but the patches are rough and they should be cut out and redone (that would be a great time to french in a custom license plate mount).
