02 Honda Accord Key Problems

I have never came across this problem before. I thought someone on here might know what is going on.

I have an 02 Honda Accord.
I have a key that works in every way.
I got the working key copied.
The copy works in doors and trunk.
The weird thing is when I put the key in the ignition it turns the car on and
turns the motor, but the motor will not fire.

Any ideas?

It probably has an antitheft I would assume. The new key will have to be coded by the dealer or shop with the right scanner software. The launch 431 will do it but who has it?
If your original key is big and kinda puffed up then it has the transducer in it. that is what they use to signal the antitheft system that it is ok to enable fuel and spark so the car will run. If the new one you had cut doesnt have the transducer you can make a windchime out of because it will never start the car. The antenna for the transducer is a ring of wire (coil) that circles the lock cylinder on the steering column it picks up the signal from the key when it is inserted

Key......

Hi,if you have the original key, take it to the dealer,he can replace it. BUT,most dealers want to see the vehicle registration IN YOUR NAME.
