03 Dodge Caravan charge light on
The wife took a road trip about an hour away and every thing was fine.
On the return trip the charge light came on about 5 minutes into into the drive. Wife calls me and I tell her to go as far as she can and we will deal with it today. after driving about an hour in the rain she pulled into the drive way and turned the car off. about 2 hours later my son went out and started the car with no problem and the charge light was off. Went out this morning, started the car, turned on head lights and the air. When I hooked up my volt meter it was charging about 14.1 volts.

Hard to say....Maybe the regulator stuck....maybe a bad connection somewhere....Maybe, its just a crappy Chrysler......
 I would clean up your battery connections etc....and keep an eye on it. Just thinking...you said it was raining....Maybe the drive belt was slipping.......have a look at it.

belt seems tight.
I am a transmission rebuilder by trade. Back in 03 my wife asked mw what I think of a dodge caravan. My reply was I like them, I work on a lot of them. She still bought it. I agree crapy mopar Thanks for the info

the altrnators 1 way pulley clutch maybe getting bad, or brushes getting worn out

some Dodge and vw and volvo and problably others have been using them since early 2000's.
the 1 way clutch suppose to take the stress off of the belt , when decellerating

Water may have gotten into the unit or the connector. I would pull the connector and take look. If it has a lot of miles on it the brushes could be worn and the moisture may have kept them from making good contact. If she drove for over an hour in the rain with the wipers running I would guess the alternator was still charging. An hour of wipers alone wold kill the battery.
Those vans also had a LOT of dash board connection issues which also would be worse on a rainy day. I have worked on a lot of those and never ran into a one way clutch.

1 way alt clutch..... must be a Canada thing, never heard of such at least in the lower 48......lol
