03 nissan sentra heating problems
Hi ,, I am hoping i can get some help with my sons sentra 1,9lt.. He bought it with this problem with little or cold air from the heater. Sometimes it overheats but not boiled over. We replaced the thermostat .. By Google we figured it was the head gasket. Replaced that.. When it is warmed up (guage) the upper rad hose is hot ,,bottom is cool. Rad fans 2 are cutting in and out per normal. We power flushed the core, block and rad today. There is a bleed screw above the thermostat housing sometimes it bubbles other times not.. Anybody thanks Jim

Are you sure the water is circulating? Maybe the water pump impeller is not turning. I have seen them spin on the pump drive shaft due to cracking,loosening of hubs, fins getting broken off.

Yes other than the belt at fault there can't be much else.. We are pricing a new pump and belt for it for next weekend. I did change the rad hoses to the engine ,, the top rad hose now goes to thermostat housing and he tells me he now has heat to interior and guage stays a tad below half way.
