Post 041 chevy heads

i have a set of 041 casting # chevy heads and was wondering what all can be done to them to possibly get better performance out of them .i believe they have the 1.94 valve,s screw in studs and guide plates .these are on a chevy 350 /355 , i have domed pistons ,a comp xtreme energy 523/519 cam, holley street dominator intake and a 600-650?cfm holley carb., and headers.
thanks for any advice ,
joe

These are good heads, you can increase the intake size to 2.02, and the exhausts to 1.6. Also you should unshroud the intake valve in the combustion chamber, and smooth the bowls and contour them to the seats, a little gasket match, and you'll pick up some ponies.

041's are good heads, a bit old but if you match them to the gasket and clean up the chambers and bowls you will get a little more out of them, more money is the 2.02-1.60 route which these will respond to if the intake valve is unshrouded and a good valve job done to them.

sounds good to me , better than looking for a set of 202,s new or used ,lol. was going to get them checked in a couple of months anyway ,(motor started smoking at about 400 miles after my rebuild ) the only thing that was not touched was the heads ,,they had been setting for a couple of years ,,so off we go to see the machinist .
thanks ,,, joe
