041 heads vs 305 HO heads

I have a 350 sbc with a 60deg bore. I currently have a set of 305 HO heads on the engine. I have a 489/476 comp thumper cam with a 2600 stall. I am thinking of switching to the 041 heads. I have not been into building engines and high performance products that long so im not sure if doing any of this will benefit me. I only drive the car to car shows, cruise-ins and when me and the wife go out for weekend drives. I will not be racing but when i need to call on it i want it to be there. I am also switching the rear out to a 342 PT rear end and changing to a 3200 stall. Any input and advice will be greatly appreciated...Thanks

The 041 cylinder head is one of the best of the best OEM 60's era high perf SBC cylinder heads.
Especially when ported to improve flow. Whether the swap pays off for you is debatable.

I make very good power using 305HO heads after generous porting and larger 1.94 valves (1.94x 1.60 best)
so these heads have very good power potential once generously tweeked, also.
(They are both "stock heads" in OEM as cast form and both get a whole lot better with judicious porting.
The 041's have better ultimate potential, if reworked and ported correctly)

Many of these old OEM hi perf heads are worth more to you in stock form sold to a restorer
or NHRA class legal Stock eliminator SuperStock engine builder that needs them, to allow
funding to get a much better aftermarket cylinder head. (Brodix, Profiler, Dart etc) Miles ahead in power.

If you really want to feel the power when you rug it, get some 4.10's.
