Sadly the 2006 Dodge has some serious issues and Dodge has put out a TSB for the shaking: TSB 02-001-07 REV. A........Basically, the lower front and rear control arm bushings were inadequate for this type of vehicle and cause the truck to drift one way or another and cause a shudder when braking. So, you will need to replace the control arm bushings to stop anymore damage or worse, wrecking the dodge...

I guess that's worse then the well known (by Ford and others) 49mph rear bounce on my '06 F350.

One thing - many garages and do-it your selfers slam the lug nuts tight with an impact wrench or breaker bar instead of a torque wrench and can and do ruin brand new rotors. Been there with an old winter beater Torino I owned in the late '80s - and I was the culprit. And knew better

Check the rotor runout before you do the recommended bushing check

goodyear tires may be warped

i have the same year truck with th factory 20 inch rims that came with goodyear tires, my tires had plenty of thread left but for some reason they beacame warped and would cause the same problem your describing, i know of a couple other guys with same proplem. after i replaced the tires i no longer had the problem. and by the way your truck had a factory recall on the front hubs and bearings if you didnt know, my hubs and bearings were replaced in 07 whitch the factory paid for but went out again last week, i had to come out of pocket fot that repair.
