1/2 tonn burb rear and 1/2 tonna blazer rear.. u joint?

my buddy has an 87 burb 1/2 tonn with the 6.2L diesel 700r4 and we had to do a rear end swap in it. Our doner truck was a 1989 chev blazer 1/2 tonn with a 350 and automatic tranny.

We did the swap, and tried to put the driveshaft back in but it seems like the u joint is bigger than the notch where the u joint has to seat so when we tighten it, it just gets stuck and wont go in anywhere close to being properly seated... is there a u joint difference in the 87 and 89-90 chev 1/2 tonn rear ends?????

Apparently there is, since your's did not fit. You may be able to get the right one using the later app. at the local parts house. Or measure up what will fit and have them ck that way too.
