1/4 replacement
I have been working on my 1970 Lemans passenfer 1/4. Have replaced the
outer wheel housing and am preping to proceed with the quarter. Do I need to apply adhesive to the lip of the wheel well or will a good coat of my seam sealer sufice after spot welding? I have been reviewing alot of info on the site and it has been excellent and very informative. I will attach some pics soon. Thanx Cory

I apply seam sealer after any welding is done. It is my understanding that the adhesives will give way under the heat. In fact, when we remove a "Glued panel", we use heat to do it. I would spray it with weld thru primer, install the panel, then go back and use seam sealer there you can get to, in order to avoid corrosion problems later from trapped moisture. If possible, painting the area before seam sealer, will also help prevent corrosion, although some feel it is better to paint over the seam sealer.
