1 piece oil pan gasket..

hi guys,
did anyone ever install this oil pan gasket??
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-OS34510T/
is it normal that when placing the pan on it doesn't flush because of the front seal being very thick??
Summit says that when i bolt it down it will be OK..
my old 4 piece gasket was a thick front seal but is thinner then this one..
did anybody go through this already??

Thanks,
Ron

That sounds about right. You should be able to just start the bolts, then tighten the pan down uniformly. The metal torque limiters will tell you when its completely tightened.

Try that gasket with an aftermkt aluminum cover if you wan't some real concerns. It will test your patience and bolt tensile strength..
