My old Dodge truck. Drove her home, ran fine, good brakes, exhaust sounded good, heater worked fine. Had to take it to work, wouldn't start when I came out of work, battery was DEAD. Replaced DEAD battery. Drove it home, engine started to miss. Pulled plugs, plugs kind of fouled. Replaced fouled plugs, still have a miss. Replaced plug wires. Still have a miss. Replaced coil, didn't sound like a coil problem but replaced it anyway. Still have a miss. Went to check cap for a crack, found cap loose. Fastened cap down. Miss went away. Next morning truck would not start. The truck is a 74 so I replaced the only electronic box on the firewall, truck still won't start. Mad at truck now, let it set for 3 months. Go out to start truck and it still won't start. Pull distributor, found out new one only cost $35 so I replaced it. Truck has been running fine since. Go to drive truck and it has nNO brakes. Replace broken brake line and front roters and shoes and rear pads. Truck now has brakes but exhaust sounds loud. Found hole in exhaust by the manafold, have the complete exhaust replaced. Truck soulds real good now, glass packs you know. Want to run defrost but blower moter won't work. Replace blower motor, now have defrost and heat. Tires start going down, found used wheels with good tires and replaced all 4, kept best one for a stare but it won't hold arir so now carry a small air tank in case I have a flat. Could put tube in tire but???? That's been 2 years now and no more trouble with truck. Have been noticing antifreez going down from time to time, will have to look into that.

I have that problem only it happens to all of my vehicles - all at once. Took the family on Sat in the wifes van. Jammed on the brakes when someone dork cut us off. Now it had nice thumping noise when driving.
Only 5 blocks from home, so we drove home and jumped in my van. Battery toast ( -25C ) Toss in a new one I had for my T-Bird. Drove to town no problem. Stopped for fuel. Damn thing would not start. Called my brother to get a boost. Tried to drive home and the heater blower motor stopped. Now it will only work on low. The next morning hopped in my Laser drove to get my buddy a ride to his folks place out of town. Coming home I Pulled onto the highway shifted from 2-3rd - still in 2nd. No resistance in the shifter. Did not want to bugger around with it in the middle of nowhere, ( maybe be stuck in reverse then? )so I drove home in 2nd. They were just little things. The blower switch is toast, the alternator died and the shift cable broke at the shifter mech. But it still sucks. I guess I should be glad I know how to repair my vehicles and don't have to go to crappy ( Canadian ) Tire for repairs at $70/hr+ |

so i go and warm up the 89 blazer to go to the store yesterday i came back out after letting it run for 10 minuites [10deg.f w/25mph wind] oh god whats that god awfull groaning coming from under the hood???????? alt brg.fried, must get to parts store quickly before it siezes
ok which one is it???? 74 amp-$85 94 amp-$90 100 amp-$113 ?????????????? which one do you think it was!!!!!!!! i will say that that was the fastes alt swap i ever did. and of course the core was only worth $17 oh well
