There's no such thing as a 10:1, 9:1 or whatever c.r. piston. There are numerous configurations that are included in the static c.r. formula, but several other variables, bore size, gasket thickness, chamber size.

Are your pistons standard bore, dished, flat or domed, and what's the volume?

Dome piston won't work with Vortec head. Double pump carb won't work well on a streetable truck.

IF it's domed, it has a good chance of hitting the head. You will need to mock up the engine using clay on the top of the piston. Then using the head gasket thickness you plan on using, bring the piston slowly up towards TDC until it either hits or goes on around past TDC. Remove the head and see what you have.

Double Hump or Vortec??? is a post showing the Vortec dome compared to an earlier SBC dome.

You need to give details of the gears, weight, how it'll be used, intake type, cam, etc, to answer the rest. A list of things that will help answer you is here.

When ever you have a dome piston and a vortec head you must verify combustion chamber edge to dome edge clearance.

You probabily will need to clearance trim the domes, by hand. Its up to you to verify this and fix it.
