10 bolt carrier swap

i have a 91 camaro with 243 gears and no posi. i also have a 79 ta with 10 bolt 373 posi. my question is will the carrier from the 79 ta swap into the 91 camaro rear end. also wondering if there is anything else that i can do to swap them.

The 91 is the GM 7.625 inch, the 7.5 will be a direct swap.

Most likely the 79 has the 8.5 inch, if so, there is no way anything will interchange between the axles.

If you are happy with your current gear ratio you might want to consider a powertrax locker.I have one in my GM 10 bolt and I love it.I installed it myself in about 2 hours.no special tools required.

If you want gears or anything like that, go to your junk yard and look up s10's/ isuzu rodios/ and other 4x4s and you will have any gear ratio you want.
look and make shure your rear is the same as they are. I got 4.56 gears from a Isuzu 4x4.
