"J88" is the date code: October or November ("I" wasn't always used) 8th. of a year ending in '8'.
The "3725899" casting number shows up as a '57 Chevy possibly non posi. Does it have a removable center section that comes out the front of the housing? If it does, you should look for stamped (not cast) numbers on the passenger side of the third member. They're often hard to see and will take cleaning the rust and crud to see them. |

The center pig removes and the stamped # A31015 . It is a factory posi also. Thannks

By the date code I'd say it was original to a 1959. The stamped number usually has two letters to it.
