10 bolt identification

I picked up a GM 10 bolt and I think it is an 8.2. The numbers on the axle read CRW0152 I would like some help identifying the year, would like to rebuild seeing it was free. Also there was no carrier or ring and pinion just the housing and some casting numbers on bottom right looking from the rear A41, top left same direction 12345, bottom left 67890. Looking from front bottom right GM75, left 3969340NF.Any help would appreciated.
Thanks Paul51

Not to pee in your cherrios here, but a 10 bolt minus carrier, R&P and other stuff is worth its wieght in scrap and thats about it. A 10 bolt isnt really all that strong, and you might not be too pleased with the results if you spend time and money to rebuild it. It really depends on what you want to do with it. If it were a 12 bolt, thats a different story, but a 10 bolt is a 6 cylender rear end.

Thanks for the reply, but if its free its for me and if you seen what they are asking for these at swap meets you can understand what I mean. It will cost me around 600 to rebuild, just wanted to know what year do you know?

If it's an 8.5 you can make a really strong differential out of it. Ive heard of people bending 12 bolt axle tubes and going back to 8.5s without fail. I don't want to start that conversation again. 12 bolts are usually stronger. But 8.5s are comparable.

I had an 68 camaro with an 8.2 rear end and a 300hp+ V8 engine and like 285 tires. No problems for years. POINT IS- Ten bolts are not weak.
