10 bolt rear end, needing brakes
I have a 10 bolt rear end with the following serial numbers:
BP1023C2 Through the novasource site I've figure out some info BP - 2.73 open (has 4.10) 10 - OCT 23 - Day C - Buffalo 2 - most likely second shift brake mounting flange to flange measurement is 54.5". So with the above info it appears to 68-69 I am looking for rear drum brakes. Is it safe to say this rear end is from a 68-69 nova and head to napa or wherever to pick up drum brakes, or is there a chance that is from some other GM car and that year nova brakes won't fit? Most of the GM cars used the same brakes back in those days. Nova, Chevelle, and Camaro are the same. You do need to know the diameter of the drum, there were some models with bigger brakes. Most had a 9.5" rear brake.

ty for the reply. its going on a 31 roadster so it doesnt need to be exact to any actual car, i just need some rear brakes. i just cant find specifics for 10 bolt rears, so im left with year and model that have the 10 bolt. hoping it is as easy drums for a 68 nova.
