Thanks Barry. That was the first car I ever painted. Totaled up the cost once, including sandpaper, primer, Chroma Premiere base and clear along with the Chromalusion flames and I spent over $1800 just in materials, and that was back in the early 90's. You could probably double that now. That's why my truck was done with Omni single stage (with a final coat of 50/50 clear mix), and why my Deuce will be done with Martin Senour base/clear from my local Napa store. Out here, especially up in the mountains the closest jobber supply is in Flagstaff 2 1/2 hours away. Its just easier and probably cheaper when you count the time and gas, to pick up MS at Napa.

By the way, Steve's Chevelle looks great with the Southern Polyurethane black and the realistic flames he had done. His health is keeping him from working on it as often as he would like but he will eventually get it done I'm sure.
