1000 cubic inch motor

My brother in law was telling me about a 1000 cubic inch Star engine used in off shore racing boats. I have googled this thing and come up with nothing.
He said he saw it on TV the other day, but can't remember what show.
Anyone heard or know anything about them.

I didn't see the whole show, but I did hear them talking about a boat motor in the 1000 cu.in. range. I think it was extreme 4x4 or some truck show.it was on feb.10 saturday I think.

The other brother in law is building a 63 vette for Top Sportsman. It needs to run at least 7.00 at 200 mph. He had a Beretta several years ago that had a Rodek in it and it would run 7.00. So bigger is better.

Here's a '69 'stang with an 1100 cubic inch engine. All aluminum, overhead cams, I think even 4 valves per cylinder....it is a tight fit though

This one is 860'ish CI.... hemi headed chevy. That is a small block piston/rod sitting on the intake to show the size.
