So 400 is on a stand still, but I want to start back up on it again, cause I want to play on the street already and these new 5.0's are killer on the street. Being a 19 year old full time college student, makes it hard to save up for the turbo build I want to do :/ and unlike most of my friends my parents don't spoil me, I got a little paint & body shop that I just started up hopefully that takes off so I can fund my project's. 2 55's and a 66 elky. But I'm thinking tunnel ram is too much, I like maybe like a Holley strip dominator with that cam and a 750 Holley or demon, problay end up going with a 28 inch tall tire instead.
a 750 on a strip dominator?
The Hondas are gonna beat up on ya,,,
I said 4.30 gears and a TCI 6 speed
F bird said 4.30 or 4.56 with your 4 speed.

How much 1/4 mile time/experience do you have? I hope you have driven some 13 second cars at least?

Richard Johnson used 5.57 gears in his 56 chevy and he ran 11.7s with a small engine and auto
you need a tonne of power and good parts for a 4 speed to live in that car

If you want to step up to the 11s with a heavier car that has the aero dynamics of a brick, you need Horse Power
That solid isky cam you say you have will get you there, with a Vic Jr,850 cfm carb, probably 10.4 ish CR,210 AFRs,,1 3/4 step headers,, probably need 4.88 gears with a 2.7 ish first gear. 9.5x29.5 slick

no idea if you like driving cars like that on the street?

or go back to the 398 I said first post and go up a stage in roller cams?I would like to see .590 lift roller cam for that big car and a 4 speed
