12 Bolt axle tubes ?

I'm trying to find axle tubes for a 12bolt chevy rear end. Is there any place on the net where I can get tubes? I have tried but i guess i'm hitting the wrong keys.

Thanks in advance..

Jay

I tore a axle tube on my drag car once before and replaced it with a trailer axle tube the same size. I didnt see the tubes on Moser web site. You might look up a local trailer buisness and buy a junk axle tube from them.

Full T,
Thanks for the reply. Will the ends be the same and is the tube same strength? I better get with it.. The owner of the 12bolt has about 20 trailer axles laying around. I'll tell him to check them.

The one I used was the same outside diameter as mine. I had to cut it to find out the thickness which was about a 1/4". I was assuming you have all the alignment tools and were going to reuse your ends. When I did mine I stubbed the tube off about 1" from the housing. I beveled both tube ends to be welded and used the alignment bar setup to get the tube centered. I then tacked the tube diameter in 8 places. After that fill in between the tacks using a cross pattern. You will have to do the same thing to the housing end. If you are looking for a complete weld on tube with perches and end I dont know about that. My setup was for ladder bars and I was building the brackets myself.
