12 bolt car vs truck

I just bought an eaton posi to put in my 12 bolt truck rear end and I need a new set of gears to match the 4 series carrier. My buddy has a set of 3.73's for 4 series carrier 12 bolt Car I was wondering if I could make these work in my truck rear end.

No. Car pinion stem is a lot bigger than the truck pinion bearings are. Not interchangable. If it is a car posi carrier it won't fit either, different ring gear flange offset even if it is the same series.

I think I've got a used set of 3.73 truck gears.
