12 bolt differential from a 1970 chevelle fit a 1967 chevelle?

Will a 12 bolt from a 1970 chevelle bolt up to my 1967 chevelle?

YES.. but the 70 is wider iirc it's an inch on each end..

Yep, it's a bolt-in but wider. And, that matters on the '67's smallish fenderwells.

See if the axle bearing surface is shot...if you have to get new axles anyway, you might get narrower ones and have the housing shortened, 'cause '64-67 12-bolts are like hen's teeth these days.

The '68 to '72 Chevelle 12 bolt is exactly 1/2 inch wider per side than the '65 to '67 Chevelle 12 bolt. That's 1 inch wider over all. It is a bolt in, but if you have tire clearance problems then it might require some new wheels with 1/2 inch more back space.

yup, mine was 1" per side as I added disc brakes..

I just added disc brakes to my 66 Chevelle SS 12 bolt ,I used calipers ,Rotors and backing plate from a 10 bolt firebird what did you do about your shock mount .?? on the front I used a 70 Monte Carlo disc brakes and spindles since 66 did not come with disc.and I didn't want the troublesome calipers from a 67,
