12 bolt posi 9.375

I aquired a 12 bolt positraction from a wrecking yard (QA 0229)[0229 is the manufacting date?]. I was told it was from a 1971 buick riviera. The Hollanders interchange manual listed it as a 12 bolt positraction with heavyduty gears and axles from a 1971 buick riviera{probably a GRAN SPORT, or G.S.}. Any additional information would be appreciated. i.e. is this a good-tough, rugged, long lasting- differential?
thank you

Yes, so long as you need a rear axle for a 71-76 full size GM and you don't need parts. This axle has nothing in common with the 12 bolt Chevy 8.875" axle.

Agreed. I had one in a 73 Impala wagon and its not easy finding parts. Very strong, but I had to go to 4 different good parts sources just to find a cover gasket.
