12 bolt posi id
I have been looking everywhere for help trying to find what id numbers on my new carrier mean.A friend recently sold me a gm posi carrier and we are not sure if it truck or car and what series.the # stamped on the carrier are (ed 3c066). i am sure it is an 8.875 carrier.it has a thin mounting surface for the ring gear and armasteel or something stamped into it.I have had a long road trying to find a rear 12 bolt posi for my 1970 chevelle. they have become very scarce here in BC.Any help would be awsome tks.
