12 bolt truck build?

Hi guys im new to the forum I was just wondering how challenging it is build a 12 bolt truck rear end I have a full spool c clip elemanators and moser axles with some 4.56 gears also what tools will I need a have a dail indicator and torque wrench ect thanks guys

The truck 12 bolt is no easier or harder than any other rear end. Setting the pinion depth, bearing preload and backlash are the critical things, as always. The 12 bolt uses shims for pinion depth and backlash, so you will need a micrometer to measure shim thickness. You will need a dial indicator with a magnetic base for measuring backlash. You will need a small dial or beam type torque wrench with a range of 0 to 30 inch pounds to measure bearing preload. You will need a press and a bearing seperator for pressing bearings on and off. You will need to know how to read the contact pattern so that you will know what adjustments need to be made to the pinion depth and backlash.
