Im glad i found this post. Within the last year I finally started working for myself. I've gotten hassled by friends who don't understand why it costs so much. Everyone thinks its as easy as resewing a shirt or a pair of jeans. As far as costs for Private jets, yeah those are unbelievable. I worked as an upholsterer for a Jet manufacturer. Ive seen two leather bags, portable dvd player cases as a matter of fact, go for 2,000. All jobs were no less than perfect, we spent close to 350 labor hours per seat.
