I have a set of these heads in my garage are these worth porting? I know they are swirl ports is it possible to remove the swirl ramp?

Those heads were designed for a specific purpose, lots of torque and fuel economy under 3500 RPM in heavy vehicles. I have heard of people doing some port work to improve flow above 3,500 but not removing the ramp. If you want a stump puller 383 for a truck they would be a good choice but if you plan to spend much time above 3,500 I think it would be better to find a different set of heads.
