1923 T Bucket Complete brake system run-thru
OK.... I need some help. I probably know what I am asking, but before I put out money I would like to verify my thoughts! I am knee deep in a 1923 "KIT" T Bucket project. I am coming up on mile marker "Brake system" and would appreciate any input! I am using speedway as my purchase point, if anyone has a cheaper more durable company I would like that info also! I have the brake master cylinder installed, now for the rest... I am looking at an adjustable proportioning Block with a built in brake light (one less flare I need to make) Speedway website P/N 910-31358-BLK. I also "think" I want to run SS lines thru-out the frame and to the calipers. The block above mentioned makes it so that i can run the individual lines from to block to each of the 4 wheels. Would this be the preferred method? Would a single line with a "T" at the rear end look and and function best? What flare type would I use for this block, and what flare type would I use for the calipers? Should I end the hard line at the shock on the rear axle and go to flexible braided line? What flare would I need if I used the flexible braided line? And tips or tricks or pictures of installed brake lines to help a first time rod builder out would be much appreciated! Thanks and happy trails on the Ole gassers!
