Regarding a message I just received, the differences between 32 and 33-34 Ford pickups are many.
32 Pickups share their frame and 106" wheelbase with passenger cars of the same year. They also share their front fenders, runningboards, and hood. The pickup radiator shell is different from the passenger as it has integral bars rather than a grille insert with a stainless surround and crankhole.
The firewall of 32's is unique in that it is a separate piece from the body shell. The instrument panel(not the dashboard) is mounted on a "cone" to the firewall.
The frame of the 32 has a front crossmember, a center "K" member, and a rear crossmember. The side of the rails has a distinct "beauty mark" depresssion which follows the curvature of the rear part of the front fenders and then extends to the front part of the rear fenders.
The 32 and 33-34 Passenger Cars and Pickups have a unique rear spring which is curved in the middle causing the shackle eyes to be turned slightly inward on the axle housings.
The 33-34 Pickups also share their frames and wheelbase of 109"(I believe) with the passenger cars of the same years, but do not share any sheet metal with their passenger carrying brothers. There are 3 different hoods and two radiator shells.
The 33-34 cabs are similar and many parts interchange but not all. The firewall is an integral part of the body in these years.
The 33-34 frame has an X-member in the center between the front and rear crossmembers.
The REAR fenders of 33-34 pickups and 32 Pickups will interchange with slight modification to the inner front portion of the fenders.
The FRONT fenders do not interchange, not do the runningboards.
