There were 32 different Ford Assembly plants for the 1932 Ford.
I used to date a girl whose Dad worked at the plant in Charlotte NC. I have his employee badge (more like a tag). 1932 was the last year for the Charlotte plant.
It is my understanding that the numbers were released at the 1st of the month to each plant............so the numbers would not be that far out of sync. To my knowledge..........the numbers were NOT assigned to a particular group or body style.....just as they came down the line. I have photos of the line and it may be a Roadster, then a 5 window, then a Victoria and so on.
The exception to this is the sedan delivery. Only 400 (give or take 8) were made. All were made in October. The paper work on them is under dispute. Some say 400, others say NO.......8 were built as prototypes......400 +8 =408.....other say 392 made plus the 8 = 400. Still others say 392 total counting the 8 specials.
When you do research on a original 32...........the number can tell you when the car was produced........a range........not the exact day.
Hope this helps..........
