1933 vs 1934 Ford

I have a wonderment. I had a 1933 Ford 5/W coupe and know the differences between the 1933 and 1934's. The part I am curious about is when I see roadsters at the Detroit Autorama how do I tell the difference between a 1933 and 1934 Roadster body not talking about the cowl, just the body sides or rear view. Thanks for the info.

Duane

1933/1934 Ford differences

I know about the differences from the windshield pillars forward, engine (restored car), dash, inside door handles, and window opening on closed cars.
What I am looking for is the difference of the sides of the Roadster body only.
To me when looking at a Roadster or Cabriolet of a modified car how do I tell a 1933 from a 1934 when looking at the sides of the body only. Thanks.

Du

I worked at a shop specializing in Ford Model 40 (1933-34) and I honestly don't know a difference, I don't believe there is any difference in the body it's self other than at the cowl where the hood latches hook or the hood rest on the top of the cowl. The dash is different, but that is a bolt on piece. Goodness knows this was 35 years ago and my memory isn't the best but I don't believe there was anything. Now there were some very early 33's that had no skirts on the fenders, so those rear fenders are different. But damn I can't remember anything else.
