1936 Chevy floor serial tag

I have a 36 Chevy that is missing the original serial number plate that was attached near the battery box on the passenger side floor. I would love to see a picture of an original, hear about what it was made of and see what attached it to the floor. Can anyone share a good picture and some information?
thanks
Jeff

Wish I could help you more but you might try calling "Chevs of the 40's, 1-(866) 681-7484. They handle 37-54 parts but they may be able to give you a little info....www.chevsofthe40's.com

I have actually found a place that sells a serial number tag that is supposed to be just like the originals. I just want to see a few pics of originals to compare before buying. Don't necessarily need to see the serial number number if it bothers someone, it could be smudged before posting.

While Hotrodders.com is a excellent source for information

You might have better sucess with your search for a photo over on Chevytalk. There are LOTS of Chevy folks there who are very willing to help a fellow car person.
