1936 Ford Fordor Deluxe Touring Sedan

Hi fellow hotrodders: My hotrodding started when I was a very wee lad in the 50's. My cousin, a few years older than I, was a hotrodder and innoculated me with his love of old Henry steel. My first real hot rod (when a jr. in high school) was a 34 Ford 5-window coupe. Suffice it to say that it was nothing short of every Southern California teenager's fantasy. CT built 301 mouse, rumble seat, 39 Lincoln Zypher 3 speed on the floor and on and on. From there I went through a 40 Std. stationwagon, a 51 Merc tudor (got it with 7k miles on it in 59), a 57 Chevy 1/2 Ton pickup, a 67 Camero RS convertible, a 55 210 stationwagon, and now, the real culmination of my hotrodding, my 36 Ford Fordor Deluxe Touring Sedan. A real barn find near Fresno. It had been in the barn covered up for 43 years! My builder is in Clovis. So far it's all mudded, TCI frame, alligned, 262 cid. small block (yea, Chevy made a 262 cid V8 from '94 - '96 in the Caprice Classic), 700 R4, etc. I'm looking for around 25 to 28 mpg. It will be my daily driver forever. '36 on the outside and a real Mercedes underneith. I'm hoping to be ready for Pleasanton in August. It will be the one in the winner's circle! So, I start posting some pics and keep up on progress reports.
