1936 Ford Pickup Rear Axle

Looking to replace the rear seals in a 1936 ford pickup truck everything is original. Would like to see a schematic of the rear end/ axle assembly before I tackle the job. Any info or advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

You might try vanpelts they have diagrams of several early V8 assemblies. If not many replies here, try the Early V8 forum at fordbarn.com, some good old timers there

There are 3 seals in the 36 rearend, one at the front of the driveshaft and one in each axle housing.
The axle housing seals are installed in the housings from the inside using a seal installer similar to a slap hammer to pull the seal into the end of the housing.
The driveshaft seal is installed from the nose of the torque tube after removing the speedometer drivegear housing and other drive parts.
All 3 seals are the same Ford part number B-4245.
The wheel hub/drum assemblies also have seals, could be Ford number B-1175 (28-early 36, the large seals, or 78-1175 (late 36-48, the small seals).

Tried Vanpelts they don't show any rear axles until around 39 or so.
Thanks though.

For purposes of illustration for layout and seal placement, etc. a diagram of any 28-48 Ford car or 28-41 Ford pickup would be the same, the 42-47 pickups are the same but are open drive with u-joints on a separate driveshaft.
