Not to mention modern production cars rear seats have no framework whatsoever. Most of them are a 1/4" steel rod form with seat foam molded on around it. The seat foam is molded to fit the humps and bumps of the floor, so the seat foam essentially lays on top of the floor, the floor of the car is the framework... The seat back may have some framework, but when removed from the car, it won't have much support on its own.
