1937 Desoto

MY PROBLEM RIGHT NOW IS: How do I find the devices to attach the stainless steel (chrome) pieces that run down the belt line of my '37 DeSoto 4 door sedan? My dad bought the car new in '37 and it has been in the family since that time. We are currently restoring it and have taken the pieces off and due to the age the majority of them need to be replaced. Any help? I have kept the old vintage speed equip on it and it will be a nice car when finished.

chrome strips

Just saw your posting on fasteners for the trim moulding on the 37. There is a guy on Ebay selling fasteners that will work. Also, I have sent him samples of the ones holding my trim on a 40 Desoto so that he can reproduce them. He is currently working on this. His seller name is ice_scrat and located in California.Might contact him about your fasteners. Hope this helps even if it is a little late.

Ebay is where I find trim clips for my odd-ball cars. A guy in Florida has an impressive selection. I've purchased 36 and 47Hudson, 40 50 and 59 Studebaker, 47 Dodge trim clips and stud/nuts.

trim

Rather then drilling and using clips, why not use adhesive? I think theres plenty of auto adhesives which could work 3M makes double back tape.
