1937 Dodge Coupe window question...
Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any knowledge of these windows? I am having issues with the drivers door window, it has been repaired over the years it looks like. The window will not roll down, it starts and immediately goes off track and binds. I am looking for some inside info as to whether I should attempt this repair again myself or what...
Can the window tracks be bought from someplace? |
Still have the original windows? The original mechanism allowed the window to be opened slightly to act as a vent window.
The windows in my '37 Plymouth have been replaced with generic power window regulators that work well. If yours are originals, the nice folks at http://www.chryslerclub.org/ can be of help. |
Yeah, the originals. I have a wing window...not sure what you are referring to. The problem is it seems to be off the track and gets in a bind when trying to roll it down. It may go an inch or so then the window starts tilting forward and binds to where you can't roll it down.

With originals, that Chrysler club would be the best source for advice and repair parts. Most of them are OK with hotrodders since it's all about the MOPAR love, but there are a few iconoclasts.
