if you have the stock cover why not make a cover out of cardboard using the stock one as a guide and then trim it where necessary to fit your firewall. then take it to a metal shop and they should be able to build one for you.

I tried both EMS and Direct. they do have a kit with lots pf extras I don't need but in one case they do not have it for Fords. I see that the 'kit' costs about 150 U.S. I only need the cover about 75 to 90 dollars. Thanks

I have tried [am in the middle of trying] to use an old fireplace screen its kinda wire strands kinked and linked...my thinking is to stiffen it with welding rods 'lengthwise' and solder/weld them at the ends they can then be bent too shape and will flow with the curves on the firewall and floor then cover the whole thing with fiberglass.....but am not quite ready to continue because I thought a custom made item might be nice. Am going to NSRA meet in Colorado tomorrow they usually have vendors and swap items just maybe something might turn up

Wally, i have made one going around a phone post before and it does work very well, especially if you are a big boy like I am. Have fun in Puebelo and let me know how it was I was going to go but am having problems with my knee and did not want to drive across Kansas taking pain killers.

We are also going to Louisville will your knee be okay by then? I just wanted to go there [nationals] one time its too much trouble to go every time and the local shows hold my appitite fine. I usually get to the two in Colorado and maybe one in Oklahoma City and sometimes go to Dallas
I have a freind that makes his tranny covers out of scrub buckets, I just kinda wanted something better this time am tired of 'makin do' with things Alsp last year at Pueblo they had these motorized carts for people to rent and ride...you just gotta get there and see the place |
