1938 Grand National

new club member has some interesting rides. He shows up last night with a 1938 Grand National. Really a 1938 business coupe with a GN drive train. He had just recently taken it to a GN meet in Ind or Ohio and said it was well received and drew a big crowd. The plumbing for the inner cooler was a thing to behold and I will try to get some pics. He says the car is much quicker than he can manage. He has weighed the coupe and it is 3150 pounds-about 100 more than I would have guessed. His current build is a rare 35 Chevy that looks like a 34 Ford Vickey. It is on a NASCAR frame by Dave Marcis, I think. It has a beautiful nostalgic 409 sitting in it ready to go.

409, Dave Marcis, G.N. drive trains, superb! Pics would be cool, specially the 409.
