1938 Plymouth 5 window coupe underway

I am working on a 1938 Plymouth Coupe. So far I have installed a mustang rear and a turbo 400 chevy transmission hooked to an updated 1955 Desoto 291 Hemi. Next is the body which needs new a floor and a rear tail redo. A rust problem. Its been awhile getting back to the project but I'm ready to get to it !
I restored a 52 Chevy truck frame up but I sold it a couple years ago. When my son was still a teen we bought a 54 chevy sedan , chopped it , and put a 78 Camero drivetrain under it. He painted it Pavo Purple. Its painted but waiting for its bumpers and grill to be rechromed and the headliner installed. But he went to school and got married. So the car sits waiting. Funny how much life gets in the way ! I live in Utah near SLC and would be interested in seeing other projects in the works and swapping ideas and encouragement.I may have a couple extra 38 plymouth and 54 chevy sedan parts if anyone is looking.

Welcome! Its nice to have another early hemi fan around. We're out numbered by all those Chevy guys. But not to worry.... they're all jealous.

ford or chevy or mopar ??

A while back a guy stopped by and saw my restored 1952 chevy truck in my driveway and said " I'm glad your are a Chevy man" ! I laughed and took him around back to see my 1996 Mustang cobra ( I love that car ) and in my garage to see my 1938 Plymouth coupe project and the 54 Chevy chopped sedan. I just love cars. I've had bad fords & chevys. To me metal is metal , just depends on how well its put together. Its kind of like women , blonde , burnette or redhead , a good looking woman is just a good looking woman !!
Viper , Corvette , Mustang , Camaro , Charger , Chevelle , 32 Ford , 55 T-bird , 55-57 Chevy classics ...Gentleman start your engines cause its all good !

1938

I am also working on a 1938, but mine is a chevrolet coupe. I live in Sandy and would like to see your project if you have time. I am getting close to paint ready, but am having a bit of trouble finding the right painter. I have gone through much of what you are getting involved with and may have some pointers to give you, or possibly you can show me what I have done wrong on mine so far. Jhan Miller 801 891-0754
