1940 Hybred

I have a1940 Ford Coupe with 350 SBC and as an older rod it has (I think, as conveyed to me by the previous owner) a Corvair front suspensive installed. Does anyone have schematic drawings to help me ID it. And it bounces too much in the front (porpoises) when crossing uneven surfaces. I feel new shocks would help but do not know what to use, i.e. size: length type etc.

Thanks,

Dale

As a moderator here, I would like to
WELCOME YOU HERE

A lot of older rods were updated ( .. .. ) with IFS in the past.
I have read your other posts.....so......

A Nova has the suspension all hooked to a subframe.....and you could see where the front clip was hooked to the frame.....usually under the firewall.

A Corvair........has more of a cradle and would not have the additions added back at the firewall area.

If you could post a photo.....I am sure we could be of more help....

DEUCE...
