old book needed

I have my old college automotive elect text book, but most of those old regulators had 3 coil contacts sets inside You adjust point gap and spring tension to raise the output voltage. The voltage regular unit is the one with the fine wire in the coil. some of the older cars used a 3 brush generator and you could move the brush to change output. there is a Ford V8 club and forums that will probably have more info.. if you can identify what you have I could copy and PM you more info. My old text has 50 pages of Charging system info.
