1947 Studebaker M-5 Project

I just picked up this 1947 Studebaker Truck. I put it together with no body or fender bolts, and stuck some wheels under it for pictures. Man do I have a lot of work ahead of me.

That looks like it would make a great street rod. What are you planning to do with it?

That front end is cool! By the way it is sitting, air bags may be in order. It should be a lot of fun.

I'm planning to do something different with it. Widen the bed, and add 3" to the bottom sides to make the bed in proportion with the body. I might even section the body. The frame is pro streeted with a mustang front brackets in front. It's a bare frame other than that. I located a 1995 S-10 rolling chassis, complete that I could get free for some work I did. I will AIR BAG it with a custom built chrome cantilever 4-link I designed.

I put some 56 Chevy hub caps on the wheels. Haven't had time to start anything on it yet. Waiting for a complete S-10 frame promised to me.
