1948 Chevy Pick up front suspension

First off Hello from a newbie.......
I am about to begin a new project and am looking for some advice on a good front suspension for my 1948 pick up.It will be BBC powered. I am an experienced fabricator /welder so am capable of most anything. I,ve looked at many Camaro/Nova clips as well as the usual Mustang variants: also the s 10 frame swaps. What I would like to here from is you guy,s who are running this stuff and how you feel about it. Pro,s and Con,s Advice will be much appreciated

I did my 48 with a Camaro clip,It had a great ride after. But now I much rather put the Nova,It's a little narrower then the Camaro. But they both work very good.

Howdy Surestar, and welcome!

In my first truckrod, I used a Camaro clip. It rode great (smooth and soft), but lacked quick steering/agility in corners that I wanted. In my latest truckrod (55-1/2 TF Chevy 1/2-ton), I went with a TCI Mustang II kit with fore/aft sway bars. I added additional support (a gusset) on the rear of the lower control arm pivot bolts. It rides firmer, and WAYYYYYY more agile/quick in the twisties than my first truck. More like a go-cart. For me, the MII kit was much easier to install/less fabrication and head-scratching to deal with. But I was a teenager when I did my first, so take that for what it's worth. LoL. I'm not suggesting one method is better than the other, just my personal observations. There are lots of options out there today.

re: 1949 front suspension

Thanks for the help guys. I also checked out several other threads on the subject.Like several others, I am leaning towards the Nova clip. I want the truck low and want to retain good drive ability. Nova seems to be the answer so far.....................
